About This Training

This workshop will focus on diving deeper into attachment-informed coaching of IoWA-PCIT. We will discuss coaching dyads with secure, avoidant, ambivalent/resistant, disorganized, and controlling patterns of attachment. We will discuss working with parents with secure, dismissing, preoccupied, and unresolved working models of attachment.  We will discuss some of the opportunities and challenges of coaching dyads where there appears to be a discrepancy between the dyad’s pattern of attachment and the parent’s working model of attachment.

Audience: This training is for IoWA-PCIT trained mental health clinicians only.

Continuing Education: Participants will receive handouts, an agenda, and a certificate of attendance to submit for continuing education credit on their own.
