About This Training

Circle of Security™-Parenting is a relationship-based early intervention program designed to enhance the attachment and security between caregivers and their children. The skills and information learned in COS™-P can be used in a variety of settings, including groups, family therapy and home visitation. This session will discuss how attachment impacts caregivers, children and their relationships. 

Audience: This webinar is for all professionals who work with children including Child Advocacy, CASA, Head Start, Family Support, Community Support, Caseworkers, GAL’s, and many more.

Continuing education: This is a 1-hour webinar. Participants will receive handouts, an agenda, and a certificate of attendance to submit for continuing education credits on their own.

Nebraska Children and Families Foundation

Stacy Scholten currently serves as the Assistant Vice President of Early Childhood Mental Health at Nebraska Children and Families Foundation. In this position she provides technical assistance to communities who desire to partner with early childhood providers and systems to enhance the social emotional development of young children. Before coming to Nebraska Children in 2019, Stacy worked for twelve years in the child welfare system in both Nebraska and the Seattle Metro/Western Washington region. Seven of the twelve years was at the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services bringing system and DHHS divisional partners together to address the well-being of children and families involved with child welfare. She has her master’s degree in early childhood development and is passionate about preventing families’ long-term involvement in systems through early childhood and dual-generation services.
