About This Training
Professionals working with young children will receive an introductory overview of the diagnostic classification manual for infants and young children, the DC:0-5™ (Diagnosis and Classification of Mental Health and Developmental Disorders of Infancy and Early Childhood).
Objectives: In this session, we will
- Provide a general introduction to understanding how mental health and developmental disorders are identified and diagnosed in the early years.
- Participants will become familiar with the background, approach, and content areas of diagnostics for infants and young children.
Audience: This webinar is intended for all professionals working with young children.
Continuing Education: This is a 1.5-hour webinar. Participants will receive handouts, an agenda, and a certificate of attendance to submit for continuing education credits on their own.
Trainer(s)
Sami Bradley is experienced working hands on with children birth to 18 as a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner who specialized in Play Therapy, Family Therapy, and Child Parent Psychotherapy. She also is a Circle of Security Facilitator. She has presented at trainings and conferences on early intervention, infant and toddler mental health, and other mental health concerns. Sami also has previous working experience with Early Developmental Network and Head Start. She earned her Masters of Education in Community Counseling from University of Nebraska at Kearney, and has special endorsements for being a Registered Play Therapist from the Association of Play Therapy.
