About This Training
This training will help professionals enhance their capacity to respond to others and communicate based on developmental principles and personal reflection. NCRP uses the Facilitating Attuned Interactions (FAN) model for reflective practice created by the Erikson Institute.
Training Components
The NCRP Reflective Practice FAN Training Program consists of four main parts:
Pre-Training Reflective Consultation: March - April, 2026
Pre-Training Reflective Consultation will begin in March 2026, specific dates and times will be scheduled by your mentor. Each training participant will have the opportunity to participate in four pre-training group reflective consultation sessions. These reflective consultation sessions are intended to enhance the training experience by providing participants with an opportunity to experience reflective practice prior to the initial training. These sessions will help participants connect reflective practice concepts and skills with real life experiences.
Initial Training: April 20th and 21st, 2026
This two day training will build the foundational knowledge you'll need to provide reflective practice using the FAN model to the people you serve.
In this training, you will:
- Learn the foundations of reflective practice
- Explore the FAN model of attuned interaction and its core processes in depth
- Develop the skills needed to provide reflective practice using the FAN model
- Participate in an interactive, trainee-focused experience
Mentoring Sessions: April 2026-November 2026
To complete the NCRP Reflective Practice FAN Training Program, you are required to attend at least five mentoring and consultation sessions with your trainers. These sessions are intended to be a space for you process your experiences with reflective practice, celebrate your successes, and work through any barriers you may encounter. Sessions will be held on a monthly basis.
Advanced Training: November 9th, 2026
This training will refine the reflective practice skills you developed in the first training and go over more advanced concepts in the FAN model. More information about the advanced training will be available as the date gets closer.
Post Training:
FAN Graduates will get access to continued training and support through our Community of Practice after completing the FAN Training program.

Trainer(s)
Krista Roebke is the Program Manager with the Nebraska Center on Reflective Practice with the Nebraska Resource Project for Vulnerable Young Children at the University of Nebraska’s Center on Children, Families, and the Law. Krista manages the Supervisor/Leadership training program. She also provides training support, mentoring, and consultation to the ReflectivePractice Training program and provides consultation using the FAN and CE-CERT models.
Prior to her current position, Krista was the Child Welfare Training Manager. In this role, Kristamanaged training specialists who provided statewide training for the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Children and Family Services. Prior to joining the Center on Children, Families, and the Law, Krista worked in child welfare, beginning in direct care at Boys Town, and then in case management and supervision in both Colorado and Nebraska’s child welfare systems.
Krista earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Minor in Child Development and Family Relations from the University of Nebraska-Kearney.
Aiesha has spent the last 20 years in the field of Early Childhood Education working with children and families that have been the most vulnerable. Aiesha spent five years with Early Childhood Services under the umbrella of Building Bright Future's as a Early Childhood Specialist. She conducted training with the Department of Education while transitioning to the State of Nebraska Step Up to Quality Initiative as a Early Childhood Specialist. Moreover, Aiesha was a part of the last 2 years of the 10 year research project with the University of Nebraska at Lincoln's Getting Ready Infant and Toddler study. In addition, she has been and Adjunct instructor with Metropolitan Community College for the past 3 years, teaching Early Childhood Education courses. Aiesha received her Master's of Education from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska in 2013. She went on to pursue her Ed.S, Educational Specialist Degree from Northcentral University in San Diego California in 2017.
Jamie Bahm is an Assistant Project Director with the Nebraska Resource Project for Vulnerable Young Children at the University of Nebraska’s Center on Children, Families, and the Law. Jamie currently serves as the project lead for the Lancaster County Safe and Healthy Families Initiative, a community-coordinated response addressing the co-occurrence of domestic violence and child maltreatment. Jamie also works with juvenile court jurisdictions to integrate therapeutic practices into court processes, aiming to improve outcomes for children and families involved in the child welfare system. Endorsed as a Reflective Practice FAN trainer by the Erikson Institute, Jamie facilitates reflective practice training and consultation. She also contributes to policy initiatives focused on infant and early childhood mental health in Nebraska.
Jamie’s previous roles include serving as a Technical Expert Lead with JBS International, where she provided technical assistance to state grantees working to integrate behavioral health into primary care for children and perinatal women. Additionally, Jamie held supervisory and case management roles with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Children and Family Services, specializing in supporting adjudicated youth with high behavioral health needs and overseeing the Lancaster County Family Treatment Drug Court.
Jamie holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Nebraska.
