Information on CPP Training Prerequisite and Minimum Training Requirements

Prerequisite: Agency Readiness

Learning to implement a trauma treatment requires the support of a team and training space is limited. CPP Training rules require that CPP trainees are properly supported within their agency or organization. Therefore, CPP trainees must have CPP implementation support within their agency or organization. This is defined as:

  1. The agency already has clinicians and/or supervisors within the agency who are already trained in CPP, or
  2. The CPP trainee will be attending this CPP training with a supervisor and/or other clinician(s) who can support the CPP trainee, or
  3. There is a formed team of clinicians who meet together at least twice per month for Reflective Consultation to support each other throughout the duration of the training.

If you do not meet one of these options, you may not register for CPP training. If you would like to join a formed team under Option 3, please contact Lindsey Ondrak, NRPVYC Outreach and Training Specialist, at lindsey.ondrak@unl.edu.
