Adapting Child-Parent Psychotherapy for Telehealth
Description
Several challenges emerged during the COVID-19 pandemic when it comes to providing services to children and families. Offering Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) using telehealth during the pandemic has shown to have its own unique challenges; however, through those challenges, new insights and strengths have emerged as well. In this video, an overview of CPP in telehealth was discussed, including what it is like to do a modified Crowell assessment when the child and parent are in separate locations due to the pandemic. This video looked at some of the takeaways of providing CPP using telehealth including what has worked, what are the benefits, and what are some of the pitfalls to avoid.
